Where do we put the TV? A simple question, apparently: in front of the place where the viewer is sitting! However, some readers may want more advice and guidance, referring to the advantages and disadvantages of several placement ideas. Here, therefore, is a brief presentation of the various ways in which you could install Smart or conventional TVs around the house and beyond:
On the furniture
placement on a shelf, on a special chest of drawers, or even on a closet, has the advantage that it does not require much effort, as is the case of installing a wall bracket, where you will have to drill holes, fix everything in a horizontal position and to order the cables as best as possible, so that they do not look unsightly.
The downside is that the TV will not be so stable. If a playful pet, or even children, come across it, it may fall, which means serious damage. In the past, with tube devices, you needed serious force to break them down, but current LED models are really light. For more stability, we recommend a support, which also has its disadvantages, as follows:
On a wall mount
as an advantage, the stand may save space in the room, as there will be no need for a piece of furniture to sit on the TV. In addition, you can choose the height you want for viewing!
Moreover, a TV perched and firmly attached to the support will be almost impossible to accidentally demolish by careless adults, children or pets. However, prepare your drill and work overalls, as you will need to drill holes (deep enough!) To firmly grasp the wall mount. Don't forget to buy a VESA compatible one with the TV (ie to fit the screw holes for fixing the device on the scaffolding).
