Asus will have clearly marked CES 2021 with the ROG Flow X13 , an extremely ambitious machine that shows all the brand's know-how in terms of gaming machines.
The ROG Flow X13 is somewhat reminiscent of what brands like Lenovo offer with the Yoga. It falls into the category of ultra portable, with a hinge allowing its screen to rotate 360 °. Several use cases will therefore be allowed. The machine can be used as an ultrabook, but also as a tablet. It will also be possible to opt for an intermediate position such as tent mode.
Extremely light, the ROG Flow X13 does not weigh more than a kilo on the scale and it is also very compact with a depth of 155 mm, a width of 208 mm and a height of 29 mm.

It can therefore accompany you everywhere, comfortably wedged in your backpack or your bag.
As often with Asus, the user will have the choice between several different configurations. As a base, the machine will be delivered with Ryzen 5. However, it will be possible to opt for a special version called Supernova which will this time ship an AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS made up of 8 cores. The RAM can reach a maximum of 32 GB in LPDDR4X-4266 and it will also be possible to count on n PCIe SSD up to 1 TB of capacity.
The ROW Flow X13 is also equipped with a GeForce GTX 1650 GPU which will allow it to run most of the titles of the moment. As for the screen, Asus will give us the choice between a Full HD panel offering a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a 4K screen.
To avoid overheating, Asus has also equipped its computer with a new thermal liquid metal paste and two heat pipes with two Dual Arc fans. The autonomy remains correct and Asus evokes 10 hours of video playback in its press release. The charger unit is compact and it will be able to reach a power of 100 W, for a charge of 0 to 50% in half an hour.
A powerful and versatile machine
The ROG Flow X13 also puts the package on the sound and it offers 5.1.2 Dolby Atmos surround sound. In bulk, we can also mention the presence of curved keys and a complete connection based on USB 3.2, DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0B.
The price remains contained and the computer will be offered from € 1,799 from the end of this month of January.
In parallel, Asus will also market an external GPU, the ROG XG Mobile. Smaller than many of its competitors, it will have the particularity of carrying a GeForce RTX 3080 with a clock frequency of 1810 Mhz. The chip is based on the Turing architecture and offers full compatibility with ray tracing.
This external GPU will therefore allow the ROG Flow X13 to benefit from a lot of additional power. It will be offered at a price of € 1,499 with availability during the 1st quarter. Asus will also offer a bundle combining the two products for € 3,999.
