Renault made its mark this week when it announced the return of the R5 , but another announcement also caught our attention. Dacia took advantage of the event organized by its parent company to lift the veil on a new atypical vehicle, a vehicle with futuristic lines: the Bigster .
The Bigster frankly does not fit into the family of city dwellers. Huge, it will indeed be able to accommodate no less than seven people and it measures no less than 4.60 meters long, or 30 centimeters more than the very popular Duster.
Extremely generous in terms of cabin, the Bigster will also be equipped with a hybrid engine and it will also be based on the chassis of the Captur and the Arkana.
Bigster, the 7-seater SUV by Dacia
And then, of course, there are those angular lines and these magnificent lights placed between the optics, lights meeting on the brand's logo, which is also bright. What bring a touch of modernity to a vehicle which is intended mainly for large families, but also for all people who sometimes like to think outside the box.
In any case, this is the message that Dacia wishes to deliver with the Bigster. In practice, however, it is difficult to assess the possibilities offered by the vehicle, the manufacturer having unfortunately been quite stingy on the technical part.
The Argus has however had a bit more luck. Our colleagues have indeed learned two or three little things about the new Dacia SUV.
Modernized curves and a generous interior
The Bigster should thus receive a new three-cylinder block 1.2 liter TCe, a block supported by a second gasoline block (1.5 liters). Unsurprisingly, no Diesel version would be offered. On the other hand, it would be necessary to count on an E-Tech hybrid version.
The price should start around 30,000 €, but we are obviously not immune to a surprise. Good or bad, for that matter.
However, it will be necessary to wait for Dacia to communicate a little more about his vehicle to know what is in his stomach. We also hope that the brand will put a little more effort into the livability of its vehicle, which is not particularly the strong point of its other models.
