Asus introduced two new gaming- oriented computers earlier this week, the Huracan and the Zephyrus M. Very powerful, they also shine with their whimsical look.
Asus has become in the space of a few years a major player in the computer market. Very prolific, he is at the head of a catalog made up of dozens of references divided into several ranges, each targeting a very specific audience.
Like many of its competitors, the Taiwanese manufacturer also offers gaming- oriented products and it has just lifted the veil on two new machines quite different from each other.
Huracan G21, the PC of excess
The Huracan G21 is indeed positioned in the central units segment and it is entitled to what is best at present. The case can indeed accommodate Intel Core i5-8400 or Intel Core i7-8700 coupled to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 or 1080 with a maximum of 32 GB of RAM at the key.
The PC can also accommodate a maximum of four SSDs of 512 GB each and a classic HDD of 2 TB.
Completely scalable, the box can be opened and it will be quite possible to modify its configuration. Behind, Asus has also set up a significant number of LEDs compatible with ROG Aura Lightning.
The price of the Huracan G21 has not yet been announced, but the PC will be available in a few weeks.
Zephyrus M, the thinnest gaming laptop on the market
The Zephyrus M is positioned for its part in the laptop sector and its main particularity is to have an extremely thin case, a case that does not exceed two centimeters wide when closed. Proud of its achievement, Asus indicates in its press release that its new gem is quite simply the thinnest gaming PC on the market.
For the rest, the Zephyrus M is equipped with a 15.4-inch IPS screen offering a Full HD type definition and a refresh rate of 144 Hz and an Intel Core i7-8750H coupled with 16 GB of RAM in DDG4 with at best a GeForce GTX 1070, a 256 GB SSD hard drive and an HDD with a capacity of 1 TB.
The connectivity is complete with an HDMI 2.0, a USB Type-C and no less than four USB 3.1 ports, all in a box weighing 2.45 kg. Available for pre-order, it is priced at $ 1,500 for the basic configuration in the United States.
