Balm Boyette Scrub Preserve

 Boyette is located on 4,900 acres of upland scrub preserve owned by Hillsborough County and has over 23 miles of premium single track and 15 miles of multipurpose double track. From beginners to advanced riders, Boyette has something for all.

Several protected species of plants and animals have been recorded on the property, including Florida Golden Aster, Curtiss Milkweed, Eastern Indigo Snake.

Sherman Fox Squirrel, Florida Sandhill Crane (Grus Canadensis pratensis), Southeastern American Kestrel (Falco sparverius Paulus) and Gopher Tortoise.

Invasive animals, such as the Argentine Tegu lizard, have also been spotted in the wild. The 971-acre (393 ha) Triple Creek Preserve is adjacent to the northern border of Balm-Boyette Scrub.

The park includes more than 20 miles (32 km) of bike trails.[4] The trails are managed by a volunteer group, the Southwest Association of Mountain Bike Pedalers (SWAMP).

Just over two miles (3.2 km) of hiking trails have been added to connect to the Balm-Boyette trail. A second parking area will be added to the “Deuces R Wild” gate at 13299 Balm-Boyette Rd in the future.
