Bethesda: Despite the announcement of an Indiana Jones game, the development of The Elder Scrolls 6 does not take a back seat

Bethesda is capitalizing more than ever on Skyrim, the latest episode of The Elder Scrolls. Released on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Nintendo Switch, the game has become a real running gag for players who are wondering, as for GTA 6 , when its sequel will be released. A sequel which, for the moment, has only delivered a short teaser (available below) in 2018. Since then, nothing, not even a leaked image of the Bethesda studios, now owned by Microsoft which has bought its house- mother, ZeniMax, for $ 7.5 billion . And while The Elder Scrolls 6 is going low, the studio has announced an Indiana Jones game.

An announcement well received by players despite some who are worried that Bethesda abandons The Elder Scrolls 6.

Bethesda's senior vice president of marketing is reassuring on Twitter .

The development of The Elder Scrolls 6 is not impacted by that of Indiana Jones

GTA 6 and The Elder Scrolls 6, two games that are widely expected by players, without even an announcement, even skinny. What if the second one arrives late following the announcement of a game from the Indiana Jones franchise? This would not be the case according to Pete Hines, in charge of marketing for Bethesda . It was on Twitter that the man reassured the players.

Todd (editor's note: Todd Howard) is currently executive producer of several Bethesda games and other projects such as the Fallout series (editor's note: planned for Amazon Prime Video ). His priority remains the creation of Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6, whose developments are not overshadowed by our recent announcement.

The man also evokes Starfield, announced at the same time as The Elder Scrolls 6. A game that seems to have come to a standstill since 2018. As a reminder, this is an original project taking place in space, very far from an Elder Scrolls.

This reassuring post from Pete Hines should please a lot of players. Because with each new show, E3, Bethesda conference, they finally hope to see something concrete about The Elder Scrolls 6.

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, let's hope 2021 is the year of images revealed for the game, especially thanks to recent releases of the PS5 and Xbox Series X / Series S.
