Burger King unveils two new burgers, diet will wait

Currently, many restaurants are closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. But for Burger King, confinement is not a sufficient reason to sit idly by, on the contrary, it has enabled the restaurant chain to expand its menu. As a result, on January 5, BK released two new burgers with “exceptional” characteristics.

The new burgers offered by the fast food giant are both characterized by the presence of Fourme d'Ambert in their recipe, a cow's cheese from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

Although the restaurants will probably only be open in several weeks, the new burgers have already captured the hearts of the public, and this since the announcement made by Burger King on social media.

Fourme d'Ambert burgers

For those who do not yet know, Fourme d'Ambert is a cheese produced in the mountainous regions of Auvergne-Rhones-Alpes, located between 600 and 1,600 meters above sea level. It is a type of blue cheese certified PDO that is eaten very well with bread or with other types of dish thanks to its soft and creamy texture. Obviously, this cheese is also excellent in a burger.

BK's new burgers are part of its Masters Burger. They bear the names of “Master Auvergnat” and “Master Rösti Auvergnat”. Although they both seem very succulent, it is the Master Rösti Auvergnat that attracts consumers the most.

Special ingredients for a burger

Basic burgers usually use a fairly simple formula since they consist of a disc of grilled ground beef, slices of tomato and onion, cheese, lettuce and various sauces, all placed between two slices of bread. For Burger King's Master Rösti Auvergnat, the composition is quite specific and much more “complex”.

Apart from the Fourme d'Ambert cheese, the Master Rösti Auvergnat consists of other very interesting ingredients such as the potato pancake which is characteristic of German-speaking Switzerland. As meat, BK has chosen 150g of Charolais beef for its new burger. There's also bacon, crispy and melting onions, old-fashioned mustard sauce, and brioche bread.

Although the holidays are over and the time seems perfect for a little diet, netizens have shown their willingness not to miss out on these new burgers from BK. Many have turned to social networks to express their desire to taste it or to tell their experience.
