Cyberpunk 2077 is now playable in third person, supporting video (but rendering is not great)

Cyberpunk 2077 is also popular as it arouses a lot of tension. If the open world game runs perfectly on PS5, Xbox Series X / Series S, cloud gaming (Stadia, Nvidia GeForce Now) and well-equipped PCs, the result is less brilliant on PS4 and Xbox One . Not to mention the many bugs, which CD Projekt must fix soon, in addition to a shower of free DLC . The reason for this failure is mainly the policy of the Polish studio, which has crushed its developers in the face of the impatience of investors (and players). Despite everything, Cyberpunk 2077 remains an excellent game , as our test highlights , in particular thanks to its incredible immersion.

A first person view that is the essence of the game, but surprisingly some players don't like.

Cyberpunk 2077 relies heavily on the first person view thanks to its staging that reinforces the immersion, and rather impressive passages . But some have been disappointed with this choice, since it prevents seeing V. And in Cyberpunk 2077, as CD Projekt announced during its teasing, the look is very important . There are many rather successful outfits that we want to see during a gunfight .

To overcome what is considered a problem by some players, a modder has therefore designed a mod allowing to play in the third person . Which, you can imagine, totally spoils the immersion. Not to mention that Cyberpunk 2077 was not designed for such a camera, the result is quite… mediocre .

As the video below shows, V doesn't have a natural third-person gait. Ditto when the character has to climb a structure. As for armed clashes, it borders on the ridiculous , V's body being twisted in all directions.

This mod was eagerly awaited by players and it is clear that Cyberpunk 2077 definitely should not be played in the third person, but the first.
