A new NBC show has just appeared online through a trailer. Debris is a science fiction series by JH Wyman .
JH Wyman is known to have been executive producer, writer, director and showrunner of the sci-fi series Fringe (Fox). He is also the creator of Almost Human, another science fiction series from Fox Broadcasting Company. The currently 54-year-old American is now known to be preparing another SF series in which he acts as co-executive producer alongside Jason Hoffs (The Terminal, Edge of Tomorrow, Death Note). It is called Debris and will be broadcast on NBC. As good news almost never comes alone, the show just bought a trailer to give us a glimpse of what lies ahead.
Unfortunately, the American channel did not give a precise date.
Two very different agents
Debris follows the journeys of two agents with very different personalities: British agent Finola Jones (Riann Steele) and American agent Bryan Beneventi (Jonathan Tucker).
While the former is warm, intuitive, and detail-oriented, the latter is rather charming, a bit reserved and confident. The two are brought to work in close collaboration on behalf of a secret international agency.
They must investigate mysterious extraterrestrial objects. In view of the tasks entrusted to them, the duo have no choice but to collaborate. Bryan and Finola are tasked with determining the origin and solving other mysteries surrounding space debris that befell many parts of the northern hemisphere. Each fragment has mysterious effects on humanity.
What about the other participants?
A race against time is also engaged as dark alien forces want to get their hands on the debris …
As for the rest of the cast, Legendary Television and Universal Television have yet to provide a detailed roster. We know, however, that in addition to Riann Steele and Jonathan Tucker, Norbert Leo Butz, Anjali Jay and Gabrielle Ryan will be in the game.
Debris is set to premiere on NBC mid-season of the 2020/21 television season.
