Sometimes it happens that some people send us unwanted emails. If you can not prevent them from sending these emails, it is however possible to configure your Gmail account so that they are automatically deleted upon arrival.
Gmail's filtering system allows you to process incoming emails from a specific address. By using the appropriate parameters, you can program the filter so that it does not let through any e-mails that you do not wish to receive. These will thus disappear before reaching the inbox.
Here are the steps on how to block emails sent by a specific person on Gmail.
How to create a filter?
To create a filter, first of all, you have to enter the Gmail website and open your email box.
Having done this, there is an arrow in the search bar at the top of the page, an arrow that must be clicked to bring up the advanced search options.
You can then enter the e-mail address to be blocked in the corresponding box and click on the "Create a filter" button.
Several options will appear, but to completely block e-mails, you must check the "Delete" box, then press "Create a filter" again. Confirmation of the creation of the filter will be displayed in the lower left corner of the page. This operation will allow the direct deletion of emails sent from the chosen address.
To manage the filters, you have to go back to the Gmail home page and open the “Settings” option represented by the “gear” icon and click on “Show all settings”. Then, click on the “Filters and blocked addresses” tab. There, it is possible to modify or delete the filters as needed.
In any case, with Gmail's filtering system, your inbox will now only contain important emails. You'll no longer be bothered by emails you don't want to read.
