Facebook is used by millions of people around the world, and you may also have an account with the service. If so, then you are probably drowning in invitations to silly games. Logically, we've all been there. The good side of the thing is that it is possible to deactivate them very easily… when you know the right option.
I think we would all agree that the platform frankly leaves something to be desired from an ergonomic point of view. The most interesting options are often well hidden and this is obviously the case here.
It is even nothing to say because the setting in question is not available on the web portal. Delirium, right?
The setting is only available on the mobile app developed for iOS and Android
If you want to get your hands on it, you will therefore have to stick to the mobile application available on iOS or Android. It's completely stupid but we have to live with it.
And then, how do we do it?
It is quite simple actually. Start by launching the application and then tap on the button composed of three horizontal lines. It's on the far right on the Android version of the tool, right next to the one that links to notifications.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, in the settings area, and tap on the “Account settings” button. There, you will find yourself faced with a list made up of several sub menus. The one that interests you is called “Applications” and that also means that you will have to tap on it.
Facebook will redirect you to a new page made up of several areas. To get your hands on the famous setting mentioned a little above, you will have to tap on the option titled “Platform”. At the top you will find a section that talks about “game invitations”. To delete the invitations, you will have to tap on “No” and the application will take care of the rest.
I did this at home last week and it has clearly changed my life.
