Facebook rolled out a nifty new feature earlier this week, one that will just let you use a video of a few seconds as your profile picture. If you don't know how, then something tells me that this article should be of great interest to you.
But before you rub your hands, it's important to note that these profile videos are not yet available on all accounts, or even in all regions of the globe.
As if that wasn't enough, the feature is only offered on the iOS version of the official client. It also means that you are going to have to get your old iPhone out of the closet.
Facebook: Profile videos are not yet available to all users
Anyway, if you want to give it a shot, it's not very complicated as you just have to follow the instructions in this article to the letter.
To start, you'll have to paste yourself on your iPhone and launch the Facebook application. Then go to your profile and look carefully at your profile picture.
The tool should display an “edit” button at the bottom right. If you see a camera , then it's your lucky day because it means that the function is active in your place.
There, all you have to do is hit the button and select the option “take a new profile video”. Facebook will launch the camera and you will just have to save your clip, as if nothing had happened.
As for the photos, the application will also allow you to fetch a video stored on the terminal. You just have to press the “download a video or a photo” button. Admit it's pretty simple, eh.
Be careful though, because the profile video cannot exceed seven seconds . Once is not customary, it will therefore be necessary to get straight to the point.
You should also know that the animation will only be played on your profile, and not in your friends' timeline . They will therefore have to visit you to discover your wonderful artistic creation.
