Apple is apparently getting ready to update the iPhone SE and AirPods Pro lines. According to a new leak, the iPhone SE (2021) and AirPods Pro 2 could arrive in April 2021.
Apple is not idle despite the health crisis. Although like most of its peers, the American electronics and computer giant is not immune to the consequences of the pandemic, it continues to work hard in order to better meet our needs and demands. We know thanks to Phonearena that the firm is preparing to launch at least two new products. From the Japanese blog Macotakara, the information suggests that the iPhone SE (2021) and AirPods Pro 2 could debut in April, exactly one year after the release of the iPhone SE (2020).
It's worth pointing out that this new leak contradicts a previous report by Ming-Chi Kuo that the new iPhone SE is not expected to arrive in the first half of 2021.
A new iPhone SE instead of a cheaper iPhone 12?
In addition to the iPhone 12 mini launched last December, Apple appears to be planning to release an even cheaper model in February, previous reports have claimed . This would be a version that is limited to 4G connectivity. However, leaks regarding the terminal have subsided in recent months. So, we do not know if the project is still relevant.
One then wonders if Apple's next smartphone will be the iPhone SE (2021) or this mysterious low-cost variant of the iPhone 12. Anyway, this year's SE model should not arrive alone. .
Towards a refresh of the AirPods Pro range?
Indeed, MacOtakara suggests that in addition to the iPhone SE (2021), Apple intends to unveil the AirPods Pro 2 next April. It is therefore very likely that the two products will be announced at the same time.
Compared to the AirPods Pro launched in October 2019 , the next generation would have a narrower case (54mm compared to 60.6mm previously), while the thickness of 21mm should not change.
This decrease in dimensions obviously suggests that the new wireless headphones will be smaller than the current models.
