Lenovo ThinkPad P1, the new best friend of professionals?

Lenovo has just lifted the veil on a new notebook which has the distinction of being both light and powerful. With less than 2 kg on the scale, the ThinkPad P1 is above all a product aimed at professionals.

Laptop manufacturers generally target two types of buyers: individuals and professionals. The ThinkPad range, initially created by IBM, then taken over by Lenovo in 2005, consists mainly of references designed for companies and people wishing to have computer equipment adapted to their economic activities. It must be said that ThinkPad products have largely succeeded in establishing themselves in this segment for more than 20 years. And with the ThinkPad P1, Lenovo is once again proving the supremacy of the line.

Lenovo Thinkpad P1 The New Best Friend Of Professionals

Thin, light and powerful, this new product has something to delight professionals looking for an elegant and powerful notebook.

Record thickness

The new Lenovo ThinkPad P1 workstation adopts a 15.6-inch form factor. Admittedly, it weighs only 1.7 kg, but is one of the most powerful computers on the market. We can also say that design is one of its strengths. With a maximum thickness of 1.78 cm, it is currently the thinnest laptop in its class.

The P1 has a carbon fiber chassis like the ThinkPad X1. This choice of material was made in order to ensure its strength, lightness and quality of finishes. And as mentioned a little above, despite its thinness, the notebook has an attractive configuration that will undoubtedly delight the most demanding users.

RAM up to 64 GB

The ThinkPad P1 will be available in the United States at the end of the month starting at $ 1,949. Several versions will be offered. In particular, you can choose between 8th generation Intel Core i9 processors and Xeon processors capable of reaching a clock frequency of 4.6 GHz. As for the amount of RAM, it will go up to 64 GB.

For the display, the buyer of the P1 will have the choice between a model with a 4K UHD touchscreen (definition of 3840 × 2160) and an FHD screen (1920 × 1080). Since we are talking about the graphics component, note that we will be able to choose between an Intel UHD Graphics 620 card or the NVIDIA Quadro P1000 and Quadro P2000 cards. To top it off, the brand has provided 4 TB of storage on this product powered by Windows 10.
