Apple will host a new developer conference next month to showcase the latest innovations from its engineers and designers. If the event should primarily focus on the brand's platforms, the latter could also take the opportunity to lift the veil on new MacBooks .
Apple, like all manufacturers on the market, has made a habit of frequently renewing its ranges.
The MacBook is obviously no exception to the rule. The first model was indeed presented in April 2015 and the second a year later .
A MacBook for WWDC 2017?
It would therefore have been logical for the firm to give us a new model at the start of the year, but unfortunately this was not the case. The firm actually preferred to focus on the iPhone 7 RED, the iPad and the iPad Pro during the first quarter of the year.
However, according to Bloomberg , the company has not yet said its last word and it could use WWDC 2017 to lift the veil on new machines. However, we should not expect a revolution and these new models should therefore be content to embed more powerful processors.
The brand's ultra-portable should not be the only one to be entitled to such treatment. Still according to the same sources, we should also expect a new MacBook Air and a new MacBook Pro.
A MacBook Air and a MacBook Pro as a bonus?
In all likelihood, the first should not go much further than the current model and so we should not expect the arrival of a Retina display. Not yet, at least. For the second, the manufacturer's efforts would have mainly focused on the onboard processor, a processor that could / should switch to a Kaby Lake architecture.
And then ? Among the other probable announcements mentioned by the usual sources, it is in particular a question of a new iPad Pro with a 10.5-inch borderless screen and a device positioned on the segment of domestic assistants: the Siri Speaker .
However, for the time being, these are just simple rumors and we will therefore have to wait until next month to find out if these rumors are true.
