Oddworld Soulstorm Confirmed For 2021 On PS4, PS5 & PC

It was during a new trailer released during the Game Awards 2020 that Oddworld Inhabitants unveiled the release window of its Oddworld Soulstorm , in addition to formalizing the platforms that will then be served.

It was a question of stalling his pee break if we did not want to miss the passage of Oddworld: Soulstorm during the Game Awards 2020 ceremony. Our friend Abe had only fifty seconds available to remind that 'he was alive and well, and that if found when the time came, he would be able to save many more souls.

The new trailer for Oddworld: Soulstorm , mostly made up of gameplay and cutscenes, was clearly not intended to pack. The editing and the chosen music thus presented the title of Oddworld Inhabitants as a vulgar action title where the explosions will be king. Fortunately, the few seconds at the end have caught up with everything.

Oddworld Soulstorm skips Xbox and Switch

It is in fact at the conclusion of the video that we learned that Oddworld: Soulstorm would be released in spring 2021. Regarding the platforms on which it will land, PS4 owners will appreciate knowing that they will be able to test this new version of The Exodus of Abe .

The title will also be available on PlayStation 5 and PC through the Epic Games Store (but you'll have to pay for it here, remember). Xbox console owners, whether One or Serie X | S, will therefore be ignored here, as will Switch players who have recently had the right to a few ports of the franchise.

As a reminder, just as it had been the case in the previous installment, Oddworld: Soulstorm will feature Abe, Mudokon determined to prevent the genocide of his people. Here, the Quarma system will allow, a priori, to observe unique parts according to the actions of the player. And of course, depending on whether we decide to save as many Mudokons as possible or to trace their path like the first of the cowards, the end of the adventure will not be the same. Hopefully this time around and unlike the redesign of the first installment Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty! , the French voices will be there.
