OnePlus has been quite low-key since the new year, but that doesn't prevent the brand from preparing for the future. It has indeed confirmed the merger of its R&D department with that of Oppo, a decision that will allow it to rationalize its production costs while benefiting from several advanced technologies, such as very fast charging. And precisely, now, it's the turn of the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro to be talked about.
If these two models should not be presented before the month of March, we now know a little more about their configuration thanks to the indiscretions of a leaker by the name of Digital Chat Station .
A leaker who was particularly exhaustive, pointing out all the key features of these two devices.
120 Hz for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro
The OnePlus 9 Pro should therefore be equipped with a 6.78-inch screen, a screen reaching a definition in QHD + and also offering a refresh rate of 120 Hz. OnePlus would have opted for a curved panel, unlike the OnePlus 9 which would inherit a flat screen. Regarding the latter, if the refresh rate would remain unchanged, we would have to expect a drop in the definition of its panel which would thus stick to Full HD +.
Without the slightest surprise, the two models would be powered by a Snapdragon 888 and therefore by Qualcomm's very latest high-end chip. The amount of RAM on their board is not mentioned, but it should vary depending on the model. The same goes for their storage space.
On the battery side, the two devices would be on par with a capacity of 4,500 mAh and they should also support 65W fast charging like the OnePlus 8T. It will be recalled, moreover, that this load is in reality the same as that proposed by Oppo. The OnePlus 9 Pro would also be entitled to 45 W wireless charging.
Another point that is important, the two devices would ignore the periscope zoom, a function which is however more and more widespread on the market. So don't expect a very impressive optical zoom, which spoils the party a bit.
