Oppo reno 10x zoom review

OPPO is shacking up its portfolio by introducing the new Reno line-up, which is being led by the flagship OPPO Reno 10x Zoom. It comes with a new and beautiful design and powerful specs. As what you probably know, the Reno 10X Zoom sports killer camera features and unique design.

Design and Construction

The most distinctive feature of the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is its shark fin-style pop-up camera on the top. The pop-up
mechanism was also battle-tested by up to 200,000 times to ensure its durability. OPPO’s own design chief confirmed to us that the mechanism can last for over five years when being used by up to 100 times a day. The zoom camera module at the back is flush under that Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

OPPO also added this little ceramic dot here too, which they call the “O- Dot.” The OPPO Reno 10x has a drop detection so it automatically retracts back the front camera when you accidentally drop the device. On the back of OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, you can see the LED flash for the primary camera. In front, you get a true full-screen display. For buttons and ports, starting on the left side, you can find your volume buttons.  At the right, you can find the green accented power button. Lastly, at the bottom, you get your hybrid dual SIM + microSD card tray, USB Type-C, noise-canceling mic for calls, and one out of two media speakers.

Oppo reno Spec and Build Quality

Reno 10x Zoom gets a 6.6-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with a pixel density of 387ppi and it does look good. The display is protected with Gorilla Glass 6. This smartphone comes with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Color OS 6 skinned on top.

The OPPO Reno 10x is a flagship device with high-end hardware on the inside. This smartphone has monstrous Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, an Adreno 640 GPU. This is available in 6GB/128GB, 6GB/256GB, and 8GB/256GB of RAM and UFS 2.1 storage configurations. One of the key reasons why the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom has an AMOLED screen is for its in-display fingerprint scanner to work. The face unlock feature also worked well. For battery, the Reno 10x Zoom gets a large 4,065mAh battery, capable of 20W VOOC Flash Charge. So yes the Reno 10x Zoom can surely last you two days if you were pushing it. The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom features on-screen controls, but you can opt to use the more modern gesture navigations.

So what’s the bottomline?. This smartphone has a great design, battery performance, optical zoom camera, and speakers. The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom packs in everything.

Is Oppo Reno 10x zoom worth buying?

The glass rear is a little slippery too, but this looks and feels like a very high-end phone.Sadly there’s no wireless charging or IP rating. The cameras are very flexible and the 6x and 10x zoom capabilities are impressive.

Is Oppo Reno waterproof?

According to the official site, there are no official IP68 waterproof ratings for Oppo Reno. This means that the latest Oppo Reno is not waterproof.
