5G without breaking the bank, it is possible with the new offer launched by the operator Prixtel . It places the 5G package at € 14.99 per month for a whole year… and without commitment.
Is 5G on the verge of democratization? It is possible, at least if we think in terms of price. For the antennas, of course, the finding is much less exciting and it will undoubtedly be another one or two years before the majority of the big cities are covered.
The fact remains that on the offer side, the competition between operators seems to be good for consumers.
Prixtel launches a 5G package at a discounted price
After Free, which decided to activate 5G on its mobile plans at no additional cost , it is therefore up to Prixtel to cut down a new card with a modular plan at a very aggressive price.
The basic 5G package set up by the operator is therefore offered at a price of € 14.99 per month for the first year, then € 19.99 thereafter. For this price, you will have the right to unlimited calls and SMS / MMS, but also to unlimited calls to mobiles and landlines in the European Union, the French overseas departments, the United States and Canada, with the added bonus of an envelope of 100 GB of data to spend each month.
There is, however, a subtlety. The actual price of the plan will actually depend on the volume of data you are consuming. The price of € 14.99 per month will only be valid for those who consume less than 100 GB of data per month.
A package that adapts to your consumption
If you exceed this threshold, then you will automatically switch to another pricing. The plan will then increase to € 19.99 per month during the first year then to € 24.99 per month, with a limit of 150 GB of data in the month.
And again, if you exceed this threshold, then you will be switched to the third pricing. The plan will then cost € 24.99 per month for the first year, then € 29.99 per month thereafter, with a limit of 200 GB.
While these price changes may seem annoying, it's worth remembering that most recent smartphones allow users to keep tabs on their data usage, and even set a monthly threshold not to be exceeded.
It should also be remembered that Prixtel uses the SFR and Orange networks.

Note: To better choose your plan and more accurately assess the amount of data you will consume, you can refer to your smartphone and more specifically to the screen dedicated to plans and network consumption in the device settings. .
