Microsoft has just announced very good news. The Surface Book 2 equipped with a 15-inch screen will soon be available in France. The price may however be very spicy.
Announced last fall, the Surface Book 2 is aimed primarily at a professional audience and has been designed to accompany the most demanding users on all their journeys. History to please the greatest number, its manufacturer has made the decision to decline the device in two different screen diagonals.
Screen diagonals reaching 13.5 and 15 inches respectively.
The Surface Book 2 15 ″ soon available in France
Only problem, the largest model was only available in certain countries and France was unfortunately not one of the lucky ones.
Fortunately, this has just changed and Microsoft has thus decided to extend the availability of the machine to seventeen different countries, countries such as France, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
In all, three different configurations will be offered. The base model will ship an Intel Core i7 coupled with 16 GB of RAM and a GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of dedicated memory. The storage space will reach 256 GB.
Prices that promise to be high
Users looking for more storage can turn to the second model. It will offer exactly the same thing, this time with 512 GB of storage. The third will go even further by raising this limit to a total capacity of 1 TB.
For the moment, Microsoft has not disclosed the French selling prices, but they may be quite high. Just to give you an idea, American prices place the first model at $ 2,499, the second at $ 2,899 and the third at $ 3,299. Now is the right time to start saving money.
Now, it should also be remembered that The Verge had pointed out several problems relating to the autonomy of the ultrabook, problems that have not yet been resolved. As far as we are concerned, we will of course try to obtain a model on loan in order to see what happens.
