Apple has yet to say its last word. If the brand has chained the announcements around its M1 chip in recent weeks, it still has a few machines in preparation and these were mentioned in Ming-Chi Kuo's last note. A note referring in particular to new M1 portable Macs for the second half of 2021. Could this be the highly anticipated 16-inch M1 MacBook Pro ?
Ming-Chi Kuo, whose predictions have come true very often in the past, therefore expects Apple to launch new M1-chip laptops in the second half of next year.
The note does not mention the name of these products, but it is enough to go back to its previous reports to have a more precise idea of what awaits us.
MacBook Pro with a new design for the end of 2021?
In a note published earlier in the year, the analyst had indeed mentioned a brand new MacBook Pro with a new design and available in two sizes: 14 and 16 inches. So far, this prediction has not come true, but Kuo also made it clear at the time that these new Macs will be powered by an ARM chip.
Interesting, especially since the brand has chosen, for the moment, to focus only on the cheapest MacBook Pros for the famous transition under ARM. Which makes the two aforementioned models good candidates for an update at the end of next year.
The whole question is of course whether these models will be powered by an M1 chip… or by a new more powerful chip – the second option of course seems the most logical.
Bonus AirPods 3
But Kuo did not stop there. The note also mentions other products, such as the upcoming AirPods. A third model would indeed be scheduled in the program, a model with a design similar to the AirPods Pro. This time, we should expect a launch for the end of the second quarter of 2021, just before the summer.

The report also talks about the next Apple Watch. Few details are given this time, except that we should expect a slightly revised design … without further details.
