Google should soon lift the veil on a new PixelBook positioned on the high end. Two commercials featuring the computer were seen earlier in the week. They are accompanied by a video.
Google will hold a press conference on October 9 to present its two new phones, the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL. However, these should not be the only new features announced. It is indeed very likely that the manufacturer will take the opportunity to lift the veil on a new machine running Chrome OS.
The 2018 PixelBook should be decidedly high-end, and if these leaks are to be believed, it would have a lot of charm as well.
A PixelBook for October 9?
Two advertisements supposed to stage the machine have indeed been seen on Facebook. Basically, the latter focus on the ecosystem of the firm and its voice assistant. They even let appear several products of the brand… placed alongside a new laptop.
It is of course difficult to be sure, but the latter would be the new PixelBook of the firm.
In parallel, a video has also appeared on the web. Very short, it only lasts a handful of seconds, but it shows a man manipulating the touch screen of a machine running Chrome OS. The bezels surrounding the screen appear a bit thinner than the current model, and the keyboard keys match that of the PixelBook.
A strange video seen on Chromium's Bug Tracker
Originally, this video was uploaded to the platform's Bug Tracker, before being suddenly removed. It could therefore be an unintentional error on the part of one of the testers of the machine.
These are, however, just guesses. Caution is therefore required and in any case, we will have to wait for the event of October 9 to know precisely what is going on. In the meantime, we may be entitled to more leaks in the days or weeks to come.
