Apple reportedly intends to start the year 2021 on the hats of wheels by launching an iPad Pro equipped with a Mini LED screen. It could even be marketed during the first quarter of the year.
We have been hearing about this iPad Pro for several years now, and there was even talk, for a while, that it would be presented to the world at the end of this year. But in the end, that was not the case.
During its Keynote in September, Apple indeed preferred to focus on two other tablets: the iPad Air 4 and the iPad 8 .
An iPad Pro Mini LED for the first quarter of 2021?
But now, if we believe Digitimes, a site whose reliability has often been debated, the iPad Pro with Mini LED screen would be ready and the tablet should be marketed somewhere during the first quarter of 2021. Or between January and March.
Another point that is important, this iPad Pro should be quite large and it would thus have a 12.9-inch screen. Screen equivalent to that of the biggest iPad Pro present in the brand's catalog at present.
Digitimes does not therefore evoke an 11-inch model, nor the rumors which preceded this alleged leak . By extension, this also means that this iPad Pro Mini LED may complete the range, and not replace it.
Another model to complete the range?
Apple could therefore keep the two current models in its catalog, at the same prices. This also leads to a higher cost for this new model.
Mini LED technology, as you probably know, is located halfway between LCD and OLED. Techno is indeed similar to OLED in terms of rendering, but with a more affordable price. Apple would also intend to extend the Mini LED to more devices next year and some sources even mention the launch of a MacBook Pro equipped with a panel of this type.
