Razer is obviously very upset. The manufacturer has indeed just presented a new version of the Blade 15 and the latter may catch the eye of a lot of people.
The shape does not change and the Blade 15 is still entitled to an extremely neat look, with a beautiful aluminum shell and a chassis no more than 16.8 mm thick. Relatively light, it weighs around two kilograms so it can be easily transported from one place to another, comfortably stowed in the backpack or satchel.
Razer has also taken great care in the cooling system of its machine and the latter thus uses a steam chamber coupled with advanced thermal materials, with 44 blade fans.
The Blade 15 is back
The connection is complete and the Blade 15 offers HDMI, Thunderbolt 3 or even Mini DisplayPort, all seasoned with three USB 3.1 ports, a microphone / headphone jack and a Kensington lock.
Razer has also provided its machine with a full RGB keyboard and Synapse 3, its advanced control system.
Several configurations will naturally be offered. The most powerful will be based on a 15.6-inch IPS screen capable of displaying Full HD with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and sRGB coverage of 100% and an Intel Core i7-8750H paired with a GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB GDDR5) and 16 GB of dual channel RAM… expandable to 32 GB.
A powerful and elegant machine
The storage space of this machine will be provided by two SSDs in M.2 format offering respectively a storage capacity of 256 and 512 GB, with an 80 Wh battery and all the usual odds and ends such as Bluetooth 5.0 or WiFi 802.11 ac .
The price for this high-end configuration will be set at € 2,449, with a launch scheduled for next month.
Two other more modest configurations are offered on the Razer site , with prices ranging from 1949 to 2249 €.
