Walmart Life Hack
Walmart is very clever with its markdown scheme, so here’s a rundown of how it operates so that you can actually score the best deal: prices ending in ‘7’ show the original price of the item; prices ending in ‘5’ come after the first markdown of the item; and those ending in ‘1’ or ‘0’ signify the final markdown.
For example, if you see a product priced at $49.97, then you know it’s the original price, and you can wait for a markdown. When the product is first labelled, it will be priced at something like $39.95.
At the end of the day, when it’s last labelled, it’ll most likely be sold around $29.91.
