What is Cybersport
Also known as e-sports or eSports, cybersport refers to a phenomenon encountered globally, which involves the development of gaming activities in an advanced way. It's not just a passion for computer games, but more than that, because for some it's a pretty good source of income.
The first attempts to gain some of these practices were in 1972, when Stanford University in California organized a video game competition and offered a subscription to Rolling Stone magazine, famous at the time.
This event was followed by many years in which video game "obsessions" were considered to have behavioral disorders. Since the 80's, the phenomenon has become more and more widespread and the players have tried to show each other how good they are, in all kinds of competitions.
Since 2000, things have started to change and real competitions are being organized that offer serious cash prizes and more (The International, LoL Word Championship, The Manila Major, Call of Duty XP Championship, etc.).
Behind the eSports champions are whole teams, with a lot of members, coaches, sponsors and so on.
